Kickin was born in the Spring of 2006, conceived out of the notion that fabulous fashion should be flexible. It should work for women at various life stages. It should work for the young 20s/30s woman not even thinking about kids yet, as well as the pregnant or nursing woman. It should also be well-made flexible fashion that can work long after the last babe is born. We especially want pregnant women & new moms to feel healthy & fit while looking fashionably fantastic. Inspiration came from the founder's professional and personal life.
Soon after Trudy’s niece was born, she left her life as a fitness & fashion magazine publisher and started Kickin’ – the first boutique in the nation to marry fashion with an active lifestyle that was inclusive of moms-to-be. Now with two sons of her own, it's even more fun for her!
Traveling to both coasts and Europe to pick the best in flexible fashions some of Trudy's favorite pieces have lasted 5+ years thru two rounds of pregnancy & nursing, & she's still "kickin'" them! Styles purposefully chosen to multi-task as maternity or nursing fashions as well.
